It feels like Shark Week here on Arrow in the Head. We just showed you the trailer for David R. Ellis' SHARK NIGHT 3D a couple of days ago, and now the trailer for BAIT 3D has leaked. Check it out below, where you will also find a cool behind-the-scenes video with Russell Mulcahy discussing the film.

There has been some confusion as to who exactly is directing the Aussie film, but the video makes it seem pretty clear that Mulcahy (RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION, HIGHLANDER), who also penned the screenplay, is in charge. Kimble Rendall is also credited as a co-director on IMDb.

The flick stars Jesse Spencer, Xavier Samuel, Julian McMahon, Sharni Vinson (below), Cariba Heine and Alice Parkinson. It's due out in Australian theaters this September. Still no word on a U.S. release yet, but the trailer ought to drum up some interest. What do you think?

In a sleepy coastal resort community, shoppers at an underground supermarket find themselves terrorized by a crazed bandit when the unimaginable occurs... A monstrous freak tsunami swallows the town.

Now trapped inside a flooded supermarket with an armed maniac and rushing water threatening to entomb them all in a watery grave, the imprisoned band of survivors discover they're not alone. The tsunami has brought some unwanted visitors from the depths. As the waters rise, they must overcome not only the threat of drowning but another threat, just as deadly and far more bloodthirsty... packs of hungry tiger sharks.

Extra Tidbit: Based on the trailers, are you more excited for BAIT or SHARK NIGHT?

HOLY SHIT!

Dare I say, this looks terrifying! The shark looks real and the film looks dark & serious. I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but this looks like it just may be the shark film I've been waiting for!

That actually looks like a lot of fun, love the artwork too. Only negative is the title, I think it would be hard to come up with something more generic than "Bait."

On other websites and IMDB, I keep reading how people think this movie looks utterly terrible...

I actually think it looks like a fun time with my future husband Xavier Samuel in the lead =]

Wow. The sharks actually look real. This looks like the hardcore R-rated film Shark Night wishes it was.

Awful choice of trailer music, though. That piece will forever be associated with Inception and its jarring to here it being used to underscore shark carnage.
