Here we have another batch of KONG: SKULL ISLAND goodness, as the deluge of promos and clips shows no sign of stopping now that we're just under three weeks away from the film's release. Shared below are three clips from the film that give us a further look at the characters and some interesting scenes.

First up we have the "Is that a monkey?" moment from the trailers and ads, which may be Kong's big reveal in the film. That shot of him rising up with the sun in the background definitely looks like it could be the first big shot of the iconic creature.

The next clip happens sometime after Kong's confrontation with the helicopters, when Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman's characters have very different reactions to the sight of a bloody Kong handprint. Jackson's reaction made me think of PREDATOR and "If it bleeds, we can kill it."

And finally, the humans' trek across the titular island leads them to a monster graveyard. This clip also gives us a few seconds with the character played by John C. Reilly, who has been stuck on the island for twenty-eight years.

KONG: SKULL ISLAND is set in

1973. Somewhere in our world, it is said that there exists a wondrous island unspoiled by man – a land shrouded in mystery, where myth runs wild. Uncharted and undiscovered.

When the secretive organization known as Monarch identify this destination as the origin point for mysterious new superspecies, they mount an expedition to discover its secrets.

What they find on Skull Island is an adventure beyond any human experience. An exotic paradise of wonders and terrors, where flora and fauna have fused together into an Eden of otherworldly jungle creatures.

As one group fights to escape and the other declares war on Kong, we discover that the mighty primate is at the center of a battle for dominion over the island, locked into a ‘survival of the fittest’ face-off with the terrifying apex predators responsible for wiping out his kin.

Driven by vengeance, Kong will become nature’s fury, and fight to take his rightful place upon the throne of most powerful beast on the island, revealing the story of how Kong became King.

The film was directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, John Gatins, Dan Gilroy, and Derek Connolly.

Starring with Jackson, Goodman, and Reilly are Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, Tian Jing, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham, Toby Kebbell, and Eugene Cordero.

KONG: SKULL ISLAND reaches theatres on March 10th.
