Taken 2 director Olivier Megaton takes abduction thriller Land of the Living

Word’s been born that TAKEN 2 director Olivier Megaton (above) is set to adapt LAND OF THE LIVING, a British novel by Nicci French. Sean Gullette (of PI fame) has adapted the screenplay of a story about Abbie Devereaux, a young advertising executive who is abducted on the streets of Los Angeles, manages to escape and — with almost no help from the police — tracks down her would-be killer.

Sounds like well covered territory for Megaton, dude better watch out before being pigeonholed as the abduction guy. Doubt he cares if paid well enough though right? Then again Scott Pictures doesn’t exactly sound like a major studio, so who knows.

We do know LAND OF THE LIVING is set to film this coming January. Stay tuned for casting news in the weeks and months to come.
