Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Last week we let you guys know that super megastar Leonardo DiCaprio had signed onto the new Quentin Tarantino movie about (or totally not about) Charles Manson.

On top of the casting announcement, today we learned via Variety that Tarantino is also courting none other than Mr. Al Pacino for a role that evidently was written specifically for the award-winning actor.

There isn't currently word on whether Pacino will accept the role or not, but we will make sure to let us guys know as soon as we hear any further casting news on the new Tarantino film.

Until then, let us know how excited you are for a possible team-up between DiCaprio and Pacino in a Tarantino movie in the comments below or on social media!

Plot rundown via Vanity Fair:

Set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969, Tarantino’s upcoming movie, according to a source who read the script, focuses on a male TV actor who’s had one hit series and his looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick—who’s also his stunt double—is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.

The film is being produced by Harry Potter’s David Heyman, Tarantino, and Shannon McIntosh, with Georgia Kacandes exec producer and line producer.

Production begins this year on Tarantino's ninth flick!
