Anytime Thomas Jane is involved in a project our curiosity is piqued. It excites us even more when he's involved in a film within our beloved genre. It was only last week when we shared the news that Thomas Jane would be jumping back into the director's chair to helm the dark thriller WET HOUSE and today we have a look at some early teaser art for the flick.

WET HOUSE is an elevated genre supernatural thriller that is loosely based on Charles Dickens’ classic ghost story “The Signal-Man.” A doctor treats a patient that checks in there after a horrific car accident and meets another resident that predicts tragic things that haven’t happened yet. Slowly the doctor loses grip on his sanity in the Wet House and becomes haunted by something sinister.

Jane will work from a screenplay from Jack Reher who explained the title of the film:

These places are popping up all over the United States. Kind of creepy. People go there by their own admission when they give up on life and their addictions. By means of drinking or drugs, late-stage users go to a Wet House when all hope is lost. Then they die…

We'll be keeping a close eye on WET HOUSE, so expect casting announcements and other related news as soon as we hear it!

I still pray daily to the Movie Gods for Jane to return for another PUNISHER film.

Obviously, The Wet House might include a play on words about "demon rum" consuming spirits. Such a phrase might fit promotion's about the movie or dialogue in the movie. I hope that any such usage is done well.

Jane is involved with The Wet House. His involvement sells me already on the project. I like his acting--especially in Deep Blue Sea and The Punisher. I like his writing--especially on Bad Planet and Alien Pig Farm. I shall see Red Machine this year; it is better perhaps than 1976's
