Well folks it’s the Labor Day weekend so most people are probably out enjoying themselves and taking a mini-vacation from what is the average work-week. I mean there’s probably parties going on, pools getting jumping in, grills getting fired up and lots and lots of sex. Maybe not that last one but I’m sure some peeps are getting lucky this weekend!

One thing that’s not really happening this weekend is breaking news on horror movies. I mean the updates were kind of scarce out there today so I had to track down some goods on a little indie flick I think a lot of you might be into. It’s a coming-of-age drama called found. and is actually based on the book by Todd Rigney, who penned the screenplay. Scott Schirmer will be directing. Before we get into the goods on this one let’s hear about the rundown, shall we?

Based on the novel by Todd Rigney, “Found” centers around Marty, a shy, bullied fifth-grader who takes refuge in horror films… until his life turns into one. After finding a human head in his brother’s closet, Marty fears for the safety of his family while making a desperate effort to reconnect with Steve, the big brother whose homicidal cravings threaten to destroy life as Marty knows it.

I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m definitely digging what I hear so far. Found. has a tentative January 2012 release date pegged with a cast that includes Gavin Brown, Ethan Philbeck, Phyllis Munro, Louie Lawless and Alex Kogin.
