Last Updated on July 23, 2021

The latest trailer for James Wan's THE CONJURING has taken a unique path, separating itself from the others by including interviews with the actual family the film is based upon, the Perron family. Just as compelling, however, is the new footage from the horror film, which is apparently so scary it received an R rating without containing any gore or nudity. That's promotion you can't buy, kids!

The plot:

Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, "The Conjuring" tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.

THE CONJURING stars Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Ron Livingston, Shanley Caswell, Joey King and Lili Taylor. It opens on July 19th.
