The Dowdle brothers’ As Above, So Below gets a two week delay

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The latest haunter from the Dowdle brothers is going to have to wait a couple of weeks before unleashing all of its found-footage terror on audiences as Universal has done some minor tweaking to its release date. Originally planned for an August 15th release, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW will now be hitting theaters on August 29th, meaning we'll only have to wait an extra two weeks before climbing into the catacombs.

Here's the synopsis:

In the film, miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the dark secret that lies within this city of the dead. A journey into madness and terror, "As Above, So Below" reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.

Written by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle (QUARANTINE, DEVIL) and directed by John Erick Dowdle, the psychological thriller is produced by Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Patrick Aiello and Drew Dowdle. It stars Ben Feldman, Perdita Weeks, and Edwin Hodge.
