It seems as though the EVIL DEAD remake has filled out its (human) cast. After today, the focus will turn to the Candarian Demon side of things…

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica Lucas (CLOVERFIELD; pictured below) and newcomer Elizabeth Blackmore (pictured right) are set to join the FilmDistrict/Ghost House Pictures co-production.

The two gals join Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez and Lou Taylor Pucci in the Fede Alvarez-directed film, which is scheduled to go into production next month in New Zealand.

THE EVIL DEAD is about five twenty-something friends who become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Lucas will play the best friend of the girl going through a drug withdrawal (Levy), who is also a nurse. Blackmore is playing the fiancée of Fernandez and is new to the group.
