Australian actor Liam McIntyre, whose credits include playing Spartacus on the series Spartacus: War of the Damned and the Weather Wizard on The Flash, has joined the cast of the Syfy horror pilot The Haunted.

The Haunted is set to star Lyndsy Fonseca, Steve Kazee, Elizabeth Cappuccino, and David Alpay as

four adult siblings who are reunited following their parents’ deaths and must overcome their fractured personal relationships in order to survive the literal ghosts from their past.

McIntyre will be taking on the role of Reece Mason, a tough, driven detective in the Savannah Police Department. Mason will be tasked with investigating a murder alongside his partner Jordan Terry, who will be played by DeVaughn Nixon. According to TVLine's description of the character, Mason is a charming Southern gentleman on the surface "but his personal connection to this case will unearth old tensions and spur Reece to take on anyone who challenges his authority." Respect his authority!

The Haunted was written by Noga Landau, who is also executive producing the show with James Frey and Todd Cohen.
