Feb. 11, 2013by: Ryan Miller

THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT 2: GHOSTS OF GEORGIA is headed for a Blu-ray and DVD release on April 16th and we've got our hands on some of the special features that the film has to offer for you guys to check out. Among the special features is the "Seeing Ghosts" segment which will highlight the true story of the Wyrick family. If you're into that kind of stuff it should be pretty interesting to see which parts of the film were used as direct inspiration from the true events. More often than not they bend that shit right out of whack, but others stick pretty close to the actual story. Definitely something worth checking out! You can pre-order THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT 2: GHOSTS OF GEORGIA right HERE.

Building on the terror of The Haunting in Connecticut, this horrifying tale traces a young family's nightmarish descent into a centuries-old Southern hell. When Andy Wyrick (Murray, House of Wax) moves his wife Lisa (Abigail Spencer, TV's Mad Men) and daughter Heidi (Emily Alyn Lind, TV's Revenge) to an historic home in Georgia, they quickly discover they are not the house's only inhabitants. Joined by Lisa's free-spirited sister, Joyce (Sackhoff, TV's Battlestar Galactica), the family soon comes face-to-face with a bone-chilling mystery born of a deranged desire...a haunting secret rising from underground and threatening to bring down anyone in its path.

Lionsgate is notorious for slapping a "2" onto the end of a previous film and assigning that title to an unrelated movie. Credit to the filmmakers, this was originally supposed to be called "A Haunting in Georgia", but I guess that wasn't good enough for them.

Anyone else have major issues with the title?

Is the third one going to be called Haunting in Connecticut 3: Ghost of Georgia Invade Africa? Or the fourth one, Haunting in Connecticut 4: Ghost of Georgia Invade Africa with the help of Mars... Why not just call it The Haunting in Georgia. Why even associate it with the horrible first movie?
