The Haunting of Alice D, starring Kane Hodder, is coming to your home in May

THE HAUNTING OF ALICE D., formerly known as simply ALICE D., has been on our radar for a while now. We featured the first trailer and poster for the film back in November of 2013, and now we finally have some good release date news to share – RLJ Entertainment will be releasing THE HAUNTING OF ALICE D. onto DVD and VOD on May 3rd.

Written and directed by Jessica Sonneborn, who also took on an acting role in the film, ALICE D. tells the following story:

In the late 1890s, Davenport House was a famously successful brothel, ruled with an iron fist by an owner notorious for his cruelty and insatiable greed. Virtually imprisoned inside these walls, young Alice was forced to endure years of brutality and sexual slavery—until she took murderous revenge on her captors and tragically ended her own life. More than a century later, the latest Davenport heir is hosting a decadent bash in the newly renovated mansion—complete with drugs, prostitutes and just one rule: Anything goes. But the fun has barely begun when strange, terrifying things begin to happen… Suddenly, the legend of Alice’s tormented ghost proves to be very real as the guests discover firsthand that vengeance never rests in peace!

In addition to Sonneborn, the cast includes Kane Hodder, Juan Riedinger, Kristina Page, Aaron Massey, Megan Hensley, Michael Reed, Sarah Nicklin, Julianne Tura, and Al Snow.

Intrigued by the mixture of Kane Hodder and cast members I know from several independent films, I've been looking forward to ALICE D. ever since I first heard about it. I'm glad I will soon have the chance to watch it, and will be checking it out when RLJ Entertainment makes it available.
