Writer/director Megan Freels Johnston's psychological thriller THE ICE CREAM TRUCK has secured distribution from Uncork’d Entertainment, and the distributor has now announced that they will be giving the film a perfectly timed VOD release.

THE ICE CREAM TRUCK will be available for viewing as of August 18th, and what better time could there be for a movie with that title to show up than during the dog days of summer? I know I'll be wanting a real ice cream truck to drive by around that time.

Starring Deanna Russo, Emil Johnsen, John Redlinger, Sam Schweikert, Hilary Barraford, Bailey Anne Borders, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Dan Sutter, Dana Gaier, Lisa Ann Walter, Declan Michael Laird, and LaTeace Towns-Cuellar, THE ICE CREAM TRUCK tells the following story:

Mary's husband gets relocated for work which allows her to move back to her suburban hometown. As Mary's family ties up loose ends back home, she moves into their new house alone and waits. Although her familiar suburb is a constant reminder of her youth, something seems strange. A local Ice Cream Man with a love of nostalgia starts to kill some of her neighbors. Mary is torn between her mature instincts that something wrong and the distracting memories of her younger days.

This is a film I have been interested in ever since it was first announced back in December of 2015, so I'm looking forward to checking it out later this summer.
