Hey guys, we're back with yet another episode of the JoBlo original video series THE KILL COUNTER! In this series, we count out any and all kills (onscreen and off) in some of our favorite movies. This week we take on writer-director Leigh Whannell's sci-fi horror-action revenge thriller UPGRADE starring Logan Marshall-Green (PROMETHEUS) and Betty Gabriel (GET OUT)

UPGRADE is

A sci-fi thriller set in a near-future when technology controls nearly all aspects of life and centers on a technophobe who avenges his wife's murder and his own paralysis-causing injury with the help of an experimental computer-chip implant called Stem.

The film doesn't have a crazy amount of kills, but when the violence hits, it hits as hard as an old-school Paul Verhoven sci-fi-action film ala ROBOCOP and TOTAL RECALL. And I can think of no better way to spend my day than sitting alongside for a ride through a kick-ass throwback to the gloriously violent sci-fi flicks of the 80's!

The film is written and directed by Leigh Whannell (INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3) and it comes to us via the one and only Blumhouse Productions with Jason Blum, Kylie Du Fresne, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones acting as the film's producers.
