The Last Exorcism II: Beginning of the End gets first synopsis!

Nov. 9, 2012by: Jake Dee

One recent flick in the handy-cam horror subgenre I dug quite a bit was THE LAST EXORCISM, Daniel Stamm's solid PG-13 pseudo-horror-doc. Sadly, the last time we heard about THE LAST EXORCISM II: THE BEGINNING OF THE END was in August, though star Ashley Bell was praised Eli Roth's story idea as "masterful." Well folks, here now is the first detailed synopsis for said sequel!

Directed by Ed Glass-Donnelly, from a script he wrote with Damien Chazell:

Eli Roth & Strike Entertainment bring us an even more terrifying and bigger scale sequel to THE LAST EXORCISM that grossed $70 million worldwide. It looks like Nell Sweetzer’s last exorcism was not foolproof. She is back… and so are her demons.

Continuing where the first film left off, teenage Nell Sweetzer is found dirty and terrified in the woods having just escaped a demon ritual in which a cult helped her give birth to a demon baby. Confused and scared, Nell is examined by doctors but she doesn’t remember much about the previous few months except that as a result of everything, her family is now dead. She is moved into Davreaux – a girls’ halfway house in New Orleans, where she will try to put her life back together with the help of the therapist, Frank Merle. She even begins to date a boy named Chris and starts a job at a loca.

But something doesn’t feel right to Nell. She is being sought after by the demon who possessed her in the first LAST EXORCISM. It wants Nell, but in a different way than before…

Damn, bringing that poor girl into the bayou, R-rated style? Can't wait to see what Eli, Donnelly and the crew come up with!

Bell, Louis Herthum (as Nell's father), Spencer Treat Clark, Andrew Sensenig, Muse Watson, Judd Lormand, Julia Garner, Joe Chrest, David Jensen, Tarra Riggs, Ashlynn Ross, Christina Franco, Raeden Greer (below), Erica Michelle and E. Roger Mitchell all star in the film.

Extra Tidbit: Digging the new avenue the sequel is taking? If not, why not?

You need a new direction . If you're following up from the first flick's ending , the Docu-horror doesn't fit . I'm definitely into this sequel , bring it .

Hmmmm

Does anybody at that studio even realize how stupid it is to have a move called 'The Last ANYTHING : 2"?!
I've seen some stupid titles, but this one..
