Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Well this one has been waiting to reveal itself for a while. THE LOFT, which is a remake of a Belgian thriller, has been written about on this site since February of 2011, when the film first started casting. Our last update on it was August of last year, when a NSFW trailer arrived (check it out below). Since then, it’s been silence… Until now!

Deadline is reporting that THE LOFT, which features a very attractive cast including Karl Urban, James Marsden, Wentworth Miller, Eric Stonestreet, Rhona Mitra, Isabel Lucas, Matthias Schoenaerts and Rachael Taylor, has set an August 29, 2014 release. Yes, that’s a little over two years since the trailer’s premiere.

As the old saying goes, better late than never. Here’s the synopsis:

THE LOFT follows five married friends who decide to rent a loft together where they can bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they realize that they don’t know each other as well as they thought and begin to suspect one another of murder.
