IDW Publishing and 20th Century Fox will be launching a new comic book series starring Mulder and Scully this June. THE X-FILES comic book will begin after the events of THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE. IDW is also planning to re-print all of their past X-FILES books.

The adventures of Mulder and Scully meant a lot to me back in the 90s and now fans can rejoice with these new comic books. IDW's President Greg Goldstein says The possibilities for new comic stories are virtually unlimited!". On the other hand, Jeffrey Godsick, President of Fox Consumer Products, added that "IDW has worked with a number of our Fox properties, and we know they’re going to do great things with these iconic characters.”

IDW knows a thing or two about horror, they're also the home of successful kindred series like 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, DOCTOR WHO & LOCK & KEY. I'm stoked that Mulder and Scully are back in comic book form.

The truth is still out there my friends!

Extra Tidbit: Gillian Anderson (above) will always be Dana Scully

not the first one IDW did

They also recently did an X-Files/30 Days of night crossover. It was pretty good so I will definitely be picking this one up!

Can we just get a damn movie now??!??! If Fox is willing to allow the properties to be used by a comic publishing company, why can't they green light a movie or TV medium, especially considering how much all of those involved with the show are anxious to do so? I guess anything to continue the X-Files story is good news, but this isn't exactly the progress I've been holding out for, for years.
