Netflix has ordered a 10 episode season of a new genre series called The Order, which is being produced by Nomadic Pictures, the company behind the Syfy shows Ghost Wars and Van Helsing.

Set to star Jake Manley, Sarah Grey (pictured above as Stargirl on Legends of Tomorrow), Matt Frewer, Sam Trammell, and Max Martini, The Order will tell the story of

college freshman Jack Morton, who joins a fabled secret society called The Order. He is thrust into a world of magic, monsters and intrigue. As Jack goes deeper, he uncovers dark family secrets and an underground battle between werewolves and the magical dark arts.

The show was created by writers Dennis Heaton and Shelley Eriksen, who will be executive producing it with Chad Oakes, Mike Frislev, and David Von Ancken.

I haven't watched Ghost Wars or Van Helsing, but the synopsis for The Order has definitely captured my attention. Werewolves vs. the magical dark arts sounds like a fun conflict to me. I might have to give this show a look when it reaches the Netflix streaming service.
