The Texas Chainsaw 3D trailer is going to cut you up!

Sep. 13, 2012by: Eric Walkuski

Here it is, folks, the trailer for TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D, which buzzes at us on JANUARY 4th of next year. Looks gnarly!

Lionsgate's TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family--or so they thought.

Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion's dank cellars...

Directed by John Lussenhop, TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D stars Alexandra Daddario, Dan Yeager, Tremaine "Trey Songz" Neverson, Scott Eastwood, Tania Raymonde, Shaun Sipos, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, James MacDonald, Thom Barry, Paul Rae, Richard Riehle, Bill Moseley and Gunnar Hansen.

What the f is Leatherface wearing? Hahaha if you told me Michael Bay still had a hand in this I could believe it. By the looks of it anyways. I enjoyed the remake and Beginning... not as much as 1974's but come on now with this shit. Leatherface looked like Doink the Clown. WWE circa '95.

Yikes

I'm a fanboy so this will be seen opening night in 3D... but jeez man, thats the best teaser they could do? Not what I was hoping for. We need someone who genuinely cares about the series to give the fans what they deserve.

Maybe too soon to tell?

i wish this film was in a modern day setting.

I think after knowing the real story behind these films it takes out all imagination of if there really was a chainsaw killer because there wasn't one like in the films. at least the first remake did a good job of having archive footage that made it seem real

Looks like straight to DVD garbage. How did a bunch of apparent hacks get the property rights to TCM?

Looks like garbage. Not trying to hop on the bandwagon here, but I feel the need to pitch in and help strengthen a voice that gets the shit to stop.

Wow...

Look, it's a remake of the remake! I actually thought we were going to get something at least a LITTLE BIT different. Leatherface looks like an idiot.

I agree with all comments below that if they were trying to get away from the more polished look of the last 2 then they've failed. It's been a while since I've seen the original but from what I recall even the design of the house looked more in line with the remake than original. Plus some scenes look like they're remaking the remake, in particular the van scene. Apart from that your gonna have set the chainsaw on me cos I kinda dug that. but then I am a slasher fan - even the cheesy ones.

I liked the original alot and the prequel was more a guilty pleasure that's grown on me over the years. I'm certainly not expecting much other than what's gone before having seen that, and I must admit it looks far more formulaic than I remember a lengthy synopsis reading when the project went into production.

I thought they were trying to get away from the polished look of the Michael Bay flicks ? This looks to be the same stuff . Trying to distance itself from the last 2 , and being a sequel to the Original , is a freakin' joke .
