The Walking Dead promotes three players to series regulars

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

AMC’s “The Walking Dead” may have ended its third season this past Sunday night and isn’t scheduled for a return to the boob tube until October but that doesn’t mean that news from the hit zombie show will be slow coming our way. The Hollywood Reporter is sharing that the show is already promoting three familiar faces to series regulars with recent additions Chad Coleman (Tyreese), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and Emily Kinney (Beth) rejoining the series full time when “The Walking Dead” returns in the fall.

The trio joins the previously announced David Morrissey, who will be returning as a series regular as The Governor.

In addition, Melissa Ponzio, who plays Karen, the lone survivor of the Governor’s attack on his own Woodbury army that helped bring peace between Tyreese and Rick in the finale, will return to the series as a recurring guest star in season four.

We expect to be hearing more casting news for “The Walking Dead” season four in the coming weeks and months so, as always, keep checking back.
