The zombie apocalypse comes to Comic-Con with “Walking Dead” obstacle course!

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

So are you planning on heading to sunny San Diego for Comic-Con this Summer? If you answered ‘yes’ then you’ll be in for quite a treat!

To celebrate “The Walking Dead’s” 100th issue publisher Skybound and writer-creator Robert Kirkman are teaming up to bring us The Walking Dead Escape: San Diego. Yeah, I’m already sold.

The Walking Dead Escape: San Diego is an obstacle course where participants can do one of three things: be a survivor and race through a zombie-infested evacuation zone; be a walker who joins the ranks of the undead; or a spectator who watches from the sidelines during an Escape Party. Hell. Yeah!

The event will take place in San Diego’s Petco Park and will run from July 12th to July 15th. The course, while not a race, is designed to be an experience where participants can experience interactive displays and Walking Dead references along the course, which when completed will determine whether or not you’ve been infected (though we have a hunch everyone already is!). Sounds good to me!

“The Walking Dead” Season 3 is currently filming by the way so expect more zombie-infested updates soon!
