This new promo for Fear the Walking Dead gets all Nietzsche on us

Last Updated on July 21, 2021

Fear the Walking Dead didn't seem to resonate with a lot of seasoned horror viewers, but if season 2 lives up to its promotional material, it might just turn things around. Inexplicably taking after philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, this new teaser stares into the abyss, finding some reliably intense snippets that promise an intense beachside season to come. Check it out below!

Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa have managed to assemble. The everyday pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold, and our dysfunctional family must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 will air its second season of 15 episodes in two parts, beginning with the first of seven episodes on April 10th. Dougray Scott and Daniel Zovatto join a cast that includes Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Lorenzo James Henrie, Ruben Blades, Mercedes Mason, and Colman Domingo.
