Three new clips from Jim Jarmusch’s vampire tale Only Lovers Left Alive

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Why do the vampires in Jim Jarmusch's upcoming vampire tale ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE look so unkempt? Have hundreds of years of living a vampiric lifestyle left them uncaring of personal hygiene and appearance? Oh well, at least it's a better look than the vamps we've been getting for the past few years (I'm looking at you TWILIGHT).

On tap for ya today we have three new clips from the Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton-starring ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE which have surfaced from France to give you more of a taste of what to expect with this offbeat vampire tale. All three French-subbed clips feature footage that was glimpsed in the previously-released teasers and trailer, but these longer clips give a better view of the film’s languid droll cool and feature STOKER's Mia Wasikowska and the always great John Hurt as Swinton’s ne’er-do-well sister and best friend, respectively.

Set against the romantic desolation of Detroit and Tangier, an underground musician, deeply depressed by the direction of human activities, reunites with his resilient and enigmatic lover. Their love story has already endured several centuries at least, but their debauched idyll is soon disrupted by her wild and uncontrollable younger sister. Can these wise but fragile outsiders continue to survive as the modern world collapses around them?

Look for ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE to bite into theaters on April 11, 2014.
