It's nice to have Tobe Hooper back in the fold. With the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE director getting started on a high-profile horror project, Hooper joins John Carpenter, Joe Dante and John Landis in their Career Resurrection tour.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hooper will direct DJINN, which is about a young Emirati couple who return home from the U.S. and discover that their new apartment in a luxury high-rise built on the site of an abandoned fishing village is also home to malevolent beings known as Djinn.
Hooper had this comment about the flick: "Simply put, this movie will scare everyone, no matter where you live or what you believe in."
No cast has been announced yet, but shooting is scheduled to begin in the United Arab Emirates in March.
Welcome back, Tobe!
