Tony Randel's Hellbound: Hellraiser II coming to Blu-ray in September

HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER II will be released on Blu-ray on September 6 as part of Image Entertainment's Midnight Madness Series. The sequel was previously available as part of a box set, but this will be hte first time it's available on Blu-ray on its own. Special features have not been announced, but the cover art can be seen below.

The 1988 film is directed by Tony Randel and written by Peter Atkins, as based on a story by Clive Barker. It stars Ashley Laurence (below), Doug Bradley, Imogen Boorman, Kenneth Cranham, William Hope, Clare Higgins, Barbie Wilde, Simon Bamford and Nicholas Vince.

Doctor Channard is sent a new patient, a girl warning of the terrible creatures that have destroyed her family, Cenobites who offer the most intense sensations of pleasure and pain. But Channard has been searching for the doorway to Hell for years, and Kirsty must follow him to save her father and witness the power struggles among the newly damned.

My favorite Hellraiser, alongside the original. I don't own a Blu-Ray player, but it's always great to see/hear about this great film...And I always love seeing the beautiful Ashley Laurence. ;p

Hellbound's great and a definite purchase, as for my favourite sequel, it's close between this and Inferno.
