Having wrapped production last October, the serial killer comedy TRIGGERED is now set to make its debut as part of the Fears for Queers horror film festival at the Texas Theatre in Dallas, Texas on June 24th. In anticipation of this event, a trailer for the film has been released online and is now embedded below.

Written, directed, and produced by Chris Moore, TRIGGERED stars Meredith Mohler, Jesse Dalton, Arian Thigpen, Keni Bounds, Holly Bonney, and Kirsty Hatfield, with A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET's Amanda Wyss as high school principal Gloria Fielding.

Described by Wyss as being "AIRPLANE hilarious", the film has the following synopsis:

Callee Bishop has a lot of issues. Besides the fact that her town is full of braindead bigots, there’s a serial killer on the loose and, now, no one’s taking her problems seriously. With the help of her friend Ian, Callee devises a plan to get the attention back on her and her issues by faking an attack from the killer. Callee’s plan backfires when the real killer sets their sights on the two friends in an effort to make them the victims they’ve been claiming to be. How can Callee and Ian find their way out of their web of lies before the killer claims them as yet another one of their many victims?

Judging by the trailer, it does look like it will be pretty amusing. I look forward to hearing how film festival audiences react to it.

Check out the trailer and see if TRIGGERED looks like a good time to you:
