Halloween is coming up, but just like the retail stores, the horror genre is getting ready for Christmas. The trailer just dropped for the indie holiday horror-comedy MASSACRE ON AISLE 12, which looks like a zany B-movie packed with over-the-top characters and a naughty Santa's little helper played by model Amber Jean.

Be warned, the trailer is a little NSFW, unless your office has a lax policy on nipple pasties. Check it out below!

A hardware store employee's first night on the job is disrupted by the discovery of a dead body and a duffel bag full of cash.

MASSACRE ON AISLE 12 also stars Michael Buonomo, Chad Ridgely, Jim Klock (Scream Queens), Melissa Saint-Amand, William Mark McCullough, Mike Capozzi, and Doug Burch. It was directed by Jim Klock and William Mark McCullough from a script by A. J. Via and Chad Ridgely.

Well, grelber37, I will tell you that Night of the Comet as well as "Chopping Mall" and CLUE, Clerks, and Shallow Grave all played some inspiration in this flick. It is a B-movie horror comedy, very dark, and the trailer does play up the half-nude elf in it, but I assure you that is a small part of the flick that is being center-pieced in the trailer, probably for clicks. But it is gory, violent, funny, dark, and fun. I think you'll enjoy it if you liked any of those other flicks you mentioned.

I wrote it when I was 18 and working at a long island hardware store called PERGAMENTS, long-closed now, but inspired by people I worked with and things we'd do in the store. (I'm the original writer, who wrote the original screenplay, though the director/producer Chad Ridgely shared credit w/ me as he did a pass on the final version.) This project has been in the works for several years, so its nice to see it getting some attention finally! Please support indie filmmakers and films!--AJ Via

Massacre on Aisle 12 might interest a person. The movie will have to offer more plot and wit than the trailer offers. However, a genre-movie fan does notice the nudity, gore, and bad jokes that define a good bad movie. So, so far, so good. But, I am not sold on this retail slasher. Is it as good as Intruder or Chopping Mall? A store can be an effective place for some horror action (just watch My Bloody Valentine 3D, The Mist, or Night of the Comet); however, the film needs to be well-done.
