Trailer: Brody, Banderas, Malkovich, and a killer dog in Bullet Head

Bullet Head Paul Solet Adrien Brody

Paul Solet showed a lot of promise with his feature directorial debut GRACE, the twisted story of an infant that prefers drinking blood over milk. I was surprised that it took six years for his second feature, the haunting tale DARK SUMMER, to come along, but that and the segment he directed for TALES OF HALLOWEEN helped give him the momentum to move on to his biggest project yet, a crime thriller titled BULLET HEAD.

This doesn't look like your average crime thriller, though. Solet appears to have mixed in some horror elements – while the promotional materials describe BULLET HEAD as being "reminiscent of RESERVOIR DOGS", the trailer also brings to mind certain horror films, ones like CUJO and MAN'S BEST FRIEND.

Starring Adrien Brody, Antonio Banderas, John Malkovich, and Rory Culkin, the film has the following synopsis:

As three career criminals find themselves trapped in a warehouse with the law closing in and an even worse threat waiting inside, a series of intertwining narratives explores the love, fear and conditioning that brought them there.

That "even worse threat" is a killer dog that gives the criminals a lot of trouble.

The trailer can be seen below, and it has definitely done its job for me, as BULLET HEAD is now something I feel the need to watch as soon as possible.

BULLET HEAD is set to reach theatres on December 8th, with a DVD and Blu-ray release to follow on January 9th. If you'd like to pick up a copy on disc, you can already make pre-orders on Amazon.
