Outcast

Some of you reading this right now have probably already seen the second season of the series Outcast, which is based on a comic book series by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. If so, you probably saw it quite a while ago, as the season already aired on Fox International back in the spring of 2017. But for those of us who have to watch the show on Cinemax, we still have another month to wait before the show begins airing.

The first episode of Outcast season 2 is set to premiere on Cinemax at 10pm on Friday, July 20th, and a minute-long trailer has been released online to start stirring up the hype.

Outcast stars Patrick Fugit as

Kyle Barnes, who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now, with the help of the Reverend Anderson, a preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers and regain the normal life he lost. But what Kyle discovers could change his fate — and the fate of the world — forever.

Also in the cast are Philip Glenister, Wrenn Schmidt, Megan Holter, Reg E. Cathey, Kate Lyn Sheil, Allison Barnes, Julia Crockett, David Denman, and Brent Spiner.

The options on the cast members have lapsed since in the two years since Cinemax aired the first season of Outcast, but the network is open to the possibility of figuring out a way to make a third season happen if the second one is well received.

There is a great, moody horror tone to the new trailer, which you can see right here:
