Trespassers graphic novel to be adapted by the one and only Bob Gale

How’s this for a really cool story? Scott Hampton’s graphic novel TRESPASSERS is going to become a film, but the really cool part is Bob Gale himself is adapting!

I actually hadn’t heard about TRESPASSERS until now, but I have heard of Scott Hampton and I like his work. There must be something there if Bob Gale is going to adapt it. I admit, I have a lot of love for Gale; he’s the man who co-wrote the original BACK TO THE FUTURE and wrote the sequels! Anything he’s going to write, I am there for.

Ryan E. Heppe is on board to produce the supernatural themed film, he commented on the upcoming project: “A good horror flick needs one thing; a simple, original premise that’s terrifying as hell. Add to that obvious franchise potential, and the opportunity to combine ‘found footage’ –style scares with traditional filmmaking frights and you’ve got something really unique.”

Hmmm does that mean they plan to adapt this as another ‘found footage’ film? If done right, I have no qualms but honestly the gimmick is being done to death these days.

The premise goes something like this: Story centers on a group of mythbusters, set on debunking the legend of a famous allegedly haunted house. They have their scientific rationality tested when they discover demonic guardians, a gateway to hell and the fact that not all of them are exactly who they claim to be.

I really like the sound of that!

Speaking of BACK TO THE FUTURE … star Lea Thompson! Who didn’t crush on her?
