A great cast continues to shape up for Alberto Marini's SUMMER CAMP as both Andres Velencoso (pictured) and REC 3's Diego Boneta have just joined the previously announced cast of Jocelin Donahue (HOUSE OF THE DEVIL), Alex Gonzalez (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS) and Maiara Walsh (ZOMBIELAND). I'm a big fan of the cast for this one, and it's always nice to see Donahue show up in the genre. She was fantastic in HOUSE OF THE DEVIL and it was a treat to see her briefly show up in INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2.
The plot synopsis is thin, but it certainly sounds like they're aiming for the classic set-up of a handful of kids seeing shit hit the fan in the woods. And that shit happens to be a deadly virus…
SUMMPER CAMP centers on three American camp counselors who show up for their summer jobs at an English-language camp in Spain and come face-to-face with a virus unlike anything seen before.
SUMMER CAMP will mark the directorial debut of Marini with REC franchise director Jaume Balaguero executive producing. Shooting is expected to begin in just a few days on February 24th so be on the lookout for a lot more on this one soon!
