Universal’s Ouija makes contact with Matthew Settles

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The Jason Blum-produced OUIJA, based on Hasbro's famous board game of the same name, has seen a lot of momentum over the past couple of weeks with the casting of Daren Kagasoff, "Bates Motel" actress Olivia Cooke, Bianca Santos (ABC's "The Fosters"), Erin Moriarty (ABC's "Red Widow"), newcomer Ana Coto and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 actress Vivis Colombetti, and today we have one more name to add to the ever-growing cast list of the Stiles White-helmed flick.

Deadline is reporting that "Gossip Girl" and "Band of Brothers" actor Matthew Settle has signed on to play Anthony Morris, the father of Olivia Cooke's Laine Morris in the horror tale that centers around…

…a group of friends who use the Ouija board to try to make contact with a recently deceased friend, but end up awakening a dark presence.

Juliet Snowden and White (KNOWING) wrote the script.

OUIJA is being produced by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form for Platinum Dunes, Jason Blum for Blumhouse Productions and Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir for Hasbro. Universal is distributing.
