As horror continues to shine on network and cable television, we've got another series coming our way with two of horrors top names attached that should excite fans.
Variety is reporting that WE TV has ordered the supernatural thriller series “South of Hell” from Sonar Entertainment and Blumhouse Television, with Jason Blum (INSIDIOUS, SINISTER) executive producing under his Blumhouse Television banner. Even cooler: THE GREEN INFERNO's Eli Roth is set to helm the pilot! I'm already sold!
Set in Savannah, Georgia, the series focuses on Maria Abascal, a demon hunter whose power stems from within.
The premiere episode was written by Matt Lambert. James Manos, Jr. (“Dexter”) is executive producer and showrunner. Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions serves as executive producer, along with Gerard Bocaccio, Stewart Till, Stein, and Roth.
“South of Hell” has an eight-episode order and will premiere in 2015.
