Not that I'm proud of this, but we've got even more HUNGER GAMES casting info...

Last week we put out a missive that Woody Harrelson was being courted to play Seneca Crane, Head Game-Maker of the 74th Hunger Games in the Suzanne Collins novel. Now, according to Lionsgate, the part has been awarded to Wes Bentley (AMERICAN BEAUTY, P2). Yay for him!

I haven't read the novel, so I don't really know what the Seneca Crane does as Head Game-Maker, but apparently he pits teenagers in a televised battle to their deaths. I'll just say this now, he might be my favorite character of this annoying ass movie. What says you?

Due March 23rd of next year - THE HUNGER GAMES is set in the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Each year, the districts are forced by the Capitol to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the Hunger Games, a brutal and terrifying fight to the death – televised for all of Panem to see.

HUNGER GAMES star Jennifer Lawrence!
