Wesley Snipes is open to Blade 4, says there are stones left unturned

Jul. 30, 2014by: Eric Walkuski

Wesley Snipes is back in action, as you likely know, and he's got some catching up to do. We'll be seeing him in his first big-screen venture in years this August courtesy of Sly Stallone and THE EXPENDABLES 3, but what happens afterward is anybody's guess. However, wouldn't it be a blast to see him tackle his most famous role once again? I'm talking, of course, about BLADE.

In an interview with MTV, Snipes revealed that he's open to doing another BLADE movie. While I'm sure that's the understatement of the year, I think we can all agree that no one would complain if he strapped on the leather once again to slay some bloodsuckers.

Here are Snipes' thoughts on the matter:

I'd be open to it. We have some stones left unturned, and there's some latitude for us to build on. I'd love to get back in the suit again and do some things that I've learned to do now that I didn't know how to do then. I think we're better at making that kind of a film now."

Naturally, the main man behind the franchise, David S. Goyer, is all kinds of tied up with other DC properties (MAN OF STEEL and "Constantine"), so if there is to be a fourth installment, it might have to be with someone else leading the charge. And that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Hopefully I'm not alone in thinking we could use another BLADE flick. Hell, I'd even be open to the return of Jessica Biel.

I take it you forgot Wesley assaulted Goyer?

wesley went off the rails in the 3rd film, and assaulted Goyer at one point. He didn't even attend the premires because of a order of protection, or something like that. Yeah, there isn't a snowballs chance in hell Marvel would offer him anything to do with the franchise. the guy is blackballed still, given the blatant HQ leak of Expendables 3.
