What We Do in the Shadows TV series officially announced!

Like everyone else on the planet Earth, I'm a massive fan of Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi's WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS. It's with this in mind we are excited as hell to pass along the news that the 2014 mocumentary has landed a pilot-production order at FX.

The new half-hour comedy series will be written by Clement and Waititi, but will feature a new cast including Kayvan Novak (Danger Mouse, Thunderbirds Are Go), Matt Berry (Toast of London), Natasia Demetriou (Year Friends) and Harvey Guillen (The Thundermans, The Internship).

Clement and Waititi will exec produce along with Paul Simms, Garrett Basch, and Eli Bush.

WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS synopsis:

Vampire housemates (Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi, Jonathan Brugh) try to cope with the complexities of modern life and show a newly turned hipster (Cori Gonzalez-Macuer) some of the perks of being undead.

The original film was written and directed by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, and starred Clement and Waititi along with Jonathan Brugh, and Cori Gonzalez-Macuer. Buy the original film on Blu-ray HERE.
