Whoa, is this a teaser for American Horror Story Season 2? - bring your 3-D glasses

It seems rather early to be getting Season 2 promo art for AMERICAN HORROR STORY, however something has popped up. Whether this is official or fan made is up for debate, but it looks rather impressive to me. One source did claim it was sales art, we shall see if that is the case.

It looks creepy, but it fits in with what Ryan Murphy said about the setting, and it has the old school 3-D thing going on. Like the dork that I am, I got out my 3-D glasses to test it, and it does work! I do hope it is real, it feels very different than the Season 1 promotional stuff, and it would keep in tone with Season 2 being completely different.

We do know that Season 2 will take place ‘on the East Coast in a horror institution’. Negotiations are underway with four Season 1 cast members; the only thing we do know about that is they aren’t Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott or Taissa Farmiga. Murphy did say that Jessica Lange is going to return, so we have that to look forward to. Scope out the art in full below.

Extra Tidbit: I wouldn't mind seeing Season 1 guest star Kate Mara (above) return for Season 2.

Nice.

While it's sad not to see a continuation of what was started, it is exciting to see what new stories they can come up with without the usual confines of a continuing series. It's like a movie without the confines of the usual movie running time so it can flex it's legs. Series one was wrapped up OK but still had the potential to continue with new house owners even if that was the most obvious thing to do. The new setting definately sounds promising. I'd personally like to see Mara back also but

I'd personally like to see Mara back also but in a main role rather than recurring. One of the series major strengths was it's cast so while sad not to see the family cast back as they were very good, Lange is oh so welcome. She's their Ace in the deck, be silly to let her go.
