Woody Harrelson says he will not return to True Detective

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

One of our favorite shows of the last few decades (if not of all-time) was HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Pure horror art.

And if you're like us then you know that there is a TRUE DETECTIVE S3 on the way, and in the past, McConaughey has expressed interest in returning to the role of Rust Cohle. But what does co-star Woody Harrelson think of returning as Martin Hart? Well, he's not excited by the prospect. At all.

Woody Harrelson on returning to TRUE DETECTIVE:

I don’t see doing that. Because it went very well the first time and come back around to it, what else are you going to hear but, ‘Not as good! Just wasn’t as good. Boy, you guys were good before, but this time…’ I don’t want to even hear that.

What would you think of a season of TRUE DETECTIVE starring McConaughey but not Harrelson? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on social media!
