Last month we shared the news that Platinum Dunes had teamed with Paramount for another entry in the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise, and today we have word on when we may actually see some movement on the return of Jason Voorhees.

Earlier this morning Platinum Dunes producer Brad Fuller took to Twitter to respond to a question, where he gave us some insight as to when work may begin on the long-awaited slasher film.

NICE! Hopefully we'll be hearing a follow-up to this nugget of news soon as we're always up for another go 'round with our favorite hockey mask wearing madman. As always, we'll keep you posted on what we hear!

Extra Tidbit: Spit back with what you'd like to see from a new FRIDAY THE 13th flick!

Always willing to give hockey masked killer a chance

Friday the 13th is hit or miss for me, so I'll always give a new installment a watch. Give us a big hulking Jason with a creative arsenal of makeshift weapons. We also need a decent Ahab to give a really good fight (possibly kill his Ahab by the end just to prove Jason isn't fuckin' around!)

Jason has forever been my favorite from the slasher heyday. I will always welcome a new installment.

Hopefully, they throw in some T&A once again. Only idiots complained about the T&A last time. You can't have Jason without some T&A. They don't have to include as much maybe but the Julianna Guill scene was classic.

I saw it opening night and the "perfect nipple placement" line caused the audience to lose it.

I really didn't mind the reboot... as far as reboots go...

Personally I liked the reboot. Was it the best Friday film... No, but it wasn't the worst either. I'm glad they are starting work on another F13th and I really hope it all turns out well but, they really missed a golden opportunity as far as advertising is concerned. This December... Friday the 13, 2013... for the 13th friday film... I'm just saying...
