Zombieland 2: Double Tap filmed in secret & ready for test-screenings?

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

A few weeks back DEADPOOL and ZOMBIELAND screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick dropped the news that ZOMBIELAND 2 will be shooting soon with the original cast for an October 2019 release. That news was surprising as hell, but not as surprising as today's news (rumor).

Evidently, the guys over at Splash Report claim a reliable source contacted them concerning a test screening happening later this week in Southern California for the sequel, which is (evidently) called ZOMBIELAND 2: DOUBLE TAP. They even took a screenshot:

So I guess it's time to ask: "In the day and age of secret sequels being all the rage, is it possible that ZOMBIELAND 2 has really been filmed in secret and is ready to be tested for audiences?" I hate to fuel a rumor-fire, but we've seen this happen a lot the past few years so I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being true.

NOT THAT IT IS TRUE.

But until we know more, this article can stand as simply us passing along a fun piece of good old rumors 'round the campfire. That said, how f*cking excited would you be if this news were 100% true? Maybe we'll find out later this week… We'll keep you up-to-date so stay tuned.

For all of those people who somehow forgot what the original film was about, it was directed by Ruben Fleischer and starred Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, and Bill Murray. It told the twisted tale that begins

After a virus turns most people into zombies, the world's surviving humans remain locked in an ongoing battle against the hungry undead. Four survivors — Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and his cohorts Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) — abide by a list of survival rules and zombie-killing strategies as they make their way toward a rumored safe haven in Los Angeles.

And if you need to own the original horror-comedy classic on Blu-ray, no worries as you can head right on over HERE and snag a copy from Amazon. Cheers!

Calm down. Just a cool fan poster.
