Zombieland series gets a poster, a new dead is dawning

Mar. 28, 2013by: Ryan Miller

Amazon's ZOMBIELAND series just released a photo introducing us to the cast a couple of days ago and they've now given us a look at the new poster — and it's extremely boring. I hate to say it but the more they show from this the less excited I get. I hope they have a hit on their hands and all but this poster doesn't do a whole lot as far as gauging any interest. Time will tell folks so don't write this one off just yet — even though I know you really want to!

Zombieland is based on the hit Columbia Pictures movie of the same name, and finds four survivors outwitting zombies and searching for a place to call home. The Zombieland pilot comes from the feature film’s original creative team, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Joe Schmo Show), and producer Gavin Polone (Gilmore Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Eli Craig (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) is directing the pilot.

Tallahassee is being played by Kirk Ward, Maiara Walsh is Wichita, Tyler Ross takes on the role of Columbus, and Izabela Vidovic is playing Little Rock.

I like the warning sign. It's pretty clever!

As long as it's as good as the movie then I'm happy!! Can't wait for a trailer! Why shouldn't there be two GREAT zombie shows on tv!! Three if you count BBC's new zombie show.

On el fence-o

If it's a sequel storyline, everything will probably be watchable. Maybe. If this is a new continuity though, all it will be is awkward will-they-or-won't-they romance between Columbus and Wichita and the girls having trouble trusting the guys...which is what we already got in the flick. Bad idea if it's not set after the movie. The family unit they ended up with needs to be the starting point, not the eventual goal.

The cast looks like someone should be shouting "YOU IDIOTS, THESE ARE NOT THEM, YOU'VE CAPTURED THEIR STUNT DOUBLES!". Not impressed so far. I love Zombie Land, it's one of my favorites, hopefully this goes away very fast.
