The movie's really tame, awkward, and kinda boring, which really sucks because it should have been great. Chuck must have become good friends with the guy who directed it, for doing silly things like this. The director does seem like a nice guy. And the movie feels the same: very 'nice'. Where's the dark humor, sarcasm, irony, and subversiveness? Who's idea was it to have no more than 5 minutes of narration, wasn't that one of the BEST things about Fight Club (and chuck's writing in general?) Oh well. I hope someone with more talent, a darker vision, and a bigger budget is taking on Survivor and Invisible Monsters.
Sam Rockwell was good though. |

Already had 2 movies with characters the same name as mine, and they both sucked.
BTW: this reeks of desperation to put people into the theater. |

Finally, Chuck Palahniuk has become that which Tyler Durden hated.
Man, I loved this guy so much--taught him at every turn, considered Fight Club a veritable masterpiece, lapped up every single thing of his.
Lately, though, I find him repetitive and offensive. Too bad. |

ER, YEAH...
I got it, but you're comment might be confusing to some, as Palahniuk also has a book called "Stranger Than Fiction," but unrelated to the material you were referencing... |
