This is sure to be a part of our own future society some day, so it's no surprise that mobile phone users will now be able to check out the feature film trailer for A SCANNER DARKLY before anyone in theaters or the Web. That's right, according to Warner Independent Pictures, for the first time ever, mobile customers in the U.S. will get to check out the trailer on something called Amp'd Mobile headsets today (I don't even own a cell-phone, so consider me clueless about any of the dirty details about this). That said, I guess you could find out more about this Amp'd company at their website HERE. As additional promotional mobile content is created for the movie, it will be added to the Amp'd channel. Considering that the film is based on yet another one of Philip K. Dick sci-fi adventures, it seems like a good match to be the first flick to try this. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson, Winona Ryder and opens on July 7th.

Cant Wait
I cant wait to see Richard Linklater's SCANNER DARKLY.

I loved WAKING LIFE.
This looks like its going to be another original Sensory experience.

Bring on the mind candy

An actual release date for this movie? What's that, like the third or fourth one we've gotten?

SAeriously though, this does sound pretty interesting. Too bad I don't have a working cell phone to take advantage of it.
