Keanu Silver Surfer?

Keanu Reeves The folks over at Ain't It Cool News recently dropped a rumor that Keanu Reeves could be playing the titular character in the upcoming feature adaptation of SILVER SURFER. There's also been rumors that the upcoming FANTASTIC FOUR sequel may feature Surfer and his planet-devouring master Galactus. Whether Reeves would appear in the FF sequel as a way to introduce the character before giving him an outright feature or his casting is separate from Surfer in the FF sequel is unknown. Come to think of it, the whole thing is unknown. All these are just rumors at this point. Having said that, Reeves seems like a good choice for Surfer. Just look at him. Shave his head, Slap some shiny silver paint on him and that's your Surfer right there. Check out the rest of what AICN said over HERE. What do you guys think about this? Is Reeves a good choice? You think it's good to put in the Surfer in the FF sequel? Who would be your choice for the Surfer? Strike back a little sumtin' sumtin'.

I'd love to see a SILVER SURFER movie. . . But why the hell is there going to be a sequel to FANTASTIC FOUR?! Even Jessica Alba's ass couldn't rescue that thing!

The article in Wired about animation (with a focus on A Scanner Darkly) mentioned that Keanu was rumored as SS as well. The interview was with Linklater, but that they mentioned it gives it some credibility.

keanu + neo = surprisingly good movies and one of my faves (keanu coincidentally was the only question with that film but he made it work ultimately). I can't stand to see the guy in almost anything else.

No, see, Silver Surfer was supposed to be all dramatic and angst ridden since his love Shall Bal was dead and he could never be with her again, not a stoned out surfer dude. They should go with Clive Owen for Surfer...that would be more acceptable.

Keanu still has the sufer accent, so it could work.

Perfect casting...Keanu definitely has the overall build and makeup for that role. As mentioned by cubanb31, Keanu would just need to be more expansive in his acting. I think he could do it.
