Hollywood Pictures asked 5 movie websites to ask their visitors to create a second one-sheet for their upcoming horror flick STAY ALIVE, including our site (which includes Arrow in the Head). Each site picked a winner from their entries on March 2nd (see finalists HERE) and today, writer Matthew Peterman and writer/director William Brent Bell chose their own favorite from the final 5 and chose ours, the one from JoBlo.com, created by Hugo Bellevance, as the big winner. Veddy cool. Here's what the boys had to say about the winning entry, and just like myself, they seem to have dug his tagline as well: "The only thing you'll lose in this game...is your life!". The film opens wide, next Friday, March 24th.

Hugo Bellavance is not only a sick and twisted human being but also very unique. And we love that.  While all the finalists did an amazing job (and believe us, it was a tough decision) Hugo's design stood out from the rest. His violent imagery came out of nowhere and told the story with simplicity, originality, and beauty. One thing we tried to do with Stay Alive was inject a level of sophistication that you might not expect from the film's premise. Not camp. Hugo's poster represents that perfectly. And the tagline? Dare we say it's better than movie's? We dare. Our only question is how did he get into the morgue for that foot shot?

Bottom line: Hugo's design is a vulgar display of beauty executed to sick perfection.

Congratulations Hugo. Now we want you to sign a copy for us. You demented freak.

Total Domination
First, he meets Natalie Portman. Then Cameron Crowe compliments the site. And now this. Could this be the year where JoBlo becomes Supreme Human Emperor?

I hope so. Congrats Hugo.

damn skippy
I'm glad this poster won. Not just because it was from a Joblo.com contest entrant, but because it was by far the coolest out of all the posters that were sent in. Very slick style, and I love that title design!

Nice poster! For once, one of these poster contests actually picks a great poster as the winner...and it's cool that it's someone from the JoBlo site. Sweet poster Hugo.
