Neil Marshall's follow-up to his well-received horror flick DOG SOLDIERS is something called THE DESCENT, a film that has already been released in many parts of the world and is currently sporting a nice 7.5/10 average on the IMDB and was also picked by our very own Arrow as his "favorite movie of 2005". The film will be opening in North America in August of 2006, and today Lionsgate has presented us with the exclusive first look at the domestic one-sheet. Not "The Cave"
It's most definitely not "The Cave" which was basically "Anaconda" quality. It is also not "Alien" quality either though, that reference gives the film WAY too much credit. It is a nice break from crappy horror movies as of late. I liked "Pitch Black" more than this movie personally. Interesting Descent poster!

I thought this movie came out last year with different actors!!! It looks almost identical.

I can't believe that a film with a similar plot device (i.e. underground monsters attacking caving expeditions) to a book would dare risk having the exact same title as said book. THE DESCENT, by Jeff Long. Go ahead, go to Amazon and look it up.

No, I'm NOT saying this movie is *RIPPING OFF* the book, I'm just saying that for such a similar plot, it should have at least changed...

Then again, as long as the movie is actually GOOD, as it has the potential to be interesting, I won't really care.

I saw this film a while ago and it is indeed one of the very best horror films of recent years. This new poster is FANTASTIC.

I've been pumped for this movie for awhile and now seeing that not just Arrow loves the movie but other ppl as well. As for the poster, it looks pretty freakin cool. Can't wait for August!

I saw this about a month ago. It's one of the best horror movies i've ever seen. Definetly looking forward to seeing it again.
