Remember when they announced the remake of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE a few years ago and we all bitched till the cows went home? Then, the film's trailer was released and most of us shut our pie-holes, and then the movie came out and it was actually pretty good? Well, all success leads to sequels in Hollywood, so come October 6th, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING is set for theaters with director Jonathan Liebesman attempting to bring some of the coolness he brought to RINGS to this film, while Jordana Brewster lets her low-rider jeans do the talking (kinda like Jessica Biel let her white tanktop do most of the talking in the former flick). Click HERE to see what I'm talking about.

Today, New Line Cinema has presented JoBlo.com readers with an exclusive first look at the BEGINNING one-sheet and I gotta say...it's pretty damn cool. What's the movie about? Simple enough: the birth of Leatherface, baby. Check out the official site HERE.

Insane?
Are you people nuts? Yes, the trailer for the remake of TCM remake was awesome as hell, but my god, the movie SUCKED! It was a horrible re-make. The original was cool as f*** and this one was just a non-stop chase scene for the last 45 minutes. Horrible. Dawn of the Dead......now THAT was a good remake.

If we have to get a gazillion remakes, they may as well be as good as TCM was. I'm looking forward to this prequel, and the poster looks pretty damn cool. I like how it looks like a really old photograph, kinda reminds me of how my baby pictures look now (which is actually somewhat depressing now that I think about it).

Meh.
Granted, the TCM trailer was awesome and it actually made me excited about it. But the film did not live up to said trailer. It was a decent, entertaining-enough horror flick, though. I've seen much worse.

As for the poster, it's pretty cool.

Great looking poster!

Right on with the remake roundup. TCM is one of the few remakes that lived up to the trailer (and oh what a trailer)!

Looks goood enough, but I think they would be better off dropping the first "The" and just having "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: the Beginning", the other way just doesn't sound as right.
