It's official: I'm on my way to San Diego for the Comic-Con next month. I just booked my ticket this morning. Unlike last year when I rolled completely solo, this year I'm bringing the JoBlo Army. That's 4 times the drunken debauchery. Coincidentally, the same day I booked my own trip to San Diego, I heard about this interesting little contest that could basically employ you to do pretty much the same thing I'll be doing - working the Con. Sony Pictures and YouTube are partnering to find themselves their official 2006 Comic-Con blogger. Basically what you need to do is create a 30-second long video explaining why you're the guy/gal for the gig, post your video and if the judges like what they see, you're on your way to San Diego to blog the night away. The winner will receive roundtrip airfare for two to San Diego, CA, four nights standard hotel accomodations, two tickets to Comic-Con and a Cyber-shotŪ DSC-S600 Digital Camera for a total of appx. $2,829.99 in prizes. Even better, you'll get to bump shoulders with yours truly in the press tent. Maybe you'll even meet Earl Dittman!! Does it get any better than that!
