Iron Man in 2008?
According to a scooper for Superhero Hype, Jon "The Favs" Favreau dropped
another juicy tidbit on the development of IRON MAN. According to the Favinator, Tony Stark will be unleashing his particular brand of kick-ass-ery on all of us May 2008. MySpace restricts access to non-members so if he
said anything beyond that (as in when he expects to start production), you'll have to sign up and find out but it seems as if that's all he mentioned. And if that's the case,
then it's likely production will start early 2007 and will go for four to six months seeing as how this is likely to be a gigantic tentpole picture. Unless, of course, it isn't
a giantic tentole picture, in which case who knows at what point next year it'll go into production. In any case, we now have a tentative release date to look forward to so
let's hope that whatever they do, they don't push it back a year or two.

"We've got two(2!) sets of writers typing away on scenes and outlines. We've got a room full of storyboard illustrators and concept artists. The story has been fully broken. The villian has been selected and the train has left the station. I expect a rough first draft in the next several weeks, though the sequences are being hammered out visually as we speak. I wont reveal any further details on the plot or villians at this time. Marvel likes to trickle this type of info out slowly, as you can understand, and we are a full two years away from release. I did, however, convince them to share some interesting stuff some time in, oh, I don't know, July?"
