Halo What seemed like a production on the fast track with the feature adaptation of the popular video game HALO is shaping up to be yet another horror story of production hell as the producers recently decided to toss out 28 DAYS LATER scribe Alex Garland's script (which is weird considering there seemed to be unanimous agreement that his script was excellent) and handed writing duties to novelist/screenwriter DB Weiss. He recently spoke to "GameSetWatch" about his involvement in the project and had this to say "Yeah, I’m pretty excited about it. And I did always think there was a lot more to the Halo universe than most games -- I remember switching to “Easy” mode on the first game, so I could plow through it more quickly and find out what happened next." Needless to say, this will likely significantly alter the production timeline, especially if the producers keep hiring new scribes until they get the "perfect" script. Read the rest of Weiss' interview with "GameSetWatch" over HERE.

Wait. I've touched a woman's brest. Ah, anyway, this is odd news. There were so many positive things coming out of the first script...ah jeez. I don't see why they'd wanna change things...maybe there's a method to the madness. Maybe.

Could be a sign...
I have a hunch. I'm thinking the original script was fine, and then Halo 3 has now altered its course and story while it's being made.

Thus, a change in Halo 3, would cause for change in the first Halo movie... especially if a franchise is desired (duh), and the stories need to corelate.

Key word in that phrase is perfect. I read so many positive things about Garland's script, I am surprised by this news.
